Here is this week's inspiration, a giant red and pink and flashy gold bow by Jeff Koons.
What is a girl to do whose favorite color is grey? Answer: she'll dig deep into her closet, she'll get creative and pair together items that were probably never meant to go ... that is the genious behind this challenge!
So, for color's sake, I paired together a silk dress that isn't even a dress but just two giant scarves sewn together, a pair of red gold earrings (very mod!), a red and pink ring
a clutch with golden accents,

Thank you Ann, the ring is my favorite, too. It's almost like having two rings, one pink, one red.
DeleteFabulous - you've inspired me to look at scarves in yet another way! Love the colors too. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteScarves do have possibilities. This one came ready, but I am imagining two different ones put together could look nice, too.
DeleteWhat a wonderful dress! I love the play of colors and the unique pattern. Good that you changed it for the grey.
ReplyDeleteA change is often necessary but seldom done. That said, I am not ready to part with grey, yet.
ReplyDeleteWow Juli, you definitely Koons it up. I love that scarf dress. And your accessories. I bet it feels wonderful on too. Well done. I want a scarf dress too.
ReplyDeleteTo Koons or not to Koons, that is the question :-)
ReplyDeleteGo for the scarf dress, you'll feel wonderful!
What a great outfit, you look lovely in that gorgeous dress!

Thank you for the kudos!
DeleteYour vintage velvet is not bad either...
Fantastic scarf dress!
ReplyDeleteBecky :)
Thank you Becky! I ended up liking the dress very much, though in the beginning I couldn't have cared less... Oh, woman's mind and all that!
DeleteThat scarf dress is right up my alley! I love how the borders accentuate the (so-called) style lines. Rectangular garments are the best! You look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne! And thanks for visiting me :-)
DeleteReally pretty on you, Juli! Flowy is flattering, especially on your petite figure! Hope you had fun at SIA this week. Glad you were there.
ReplyDeleteIt gave me the kicks to read I look petite. I always try to dress "slim" since my BMI is in the orange sector... apparently I am doing something right - yay thanks!
DeleteI like that clutch!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Too bad there aren't many occasions for it.
DeleteLove your dress! The pattern and fit are awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
